Exploring Ancestral Foodways + Food Freedom
Kitchen Priestess, Storyteller + Lavender Enthusiast
Hi! I'm Anneliese, a California girl with Afro-Creole roots and a love for delicious food.
My intention with Conjured Cravings is to set a table where memory, history, healing and creativity meet.
As a conjure woman, I firmly believe that magic can be made in the kitchen. What makes a dish so magical anyways? I like to believe that it's the good juju and heart the cook puts in the dish. In my kitchen, a sprinkle of loving juju is always my lagniappe (little something extra).
I also aim to be authentic about how I engage with food. After learning about intuitive eating, I found a language to describe my philosophy on food: There's no good food or bad food. There's just food that your body craves and needs to thrive. So see this as a space where we celebrate brownies and avocados.
I invite you to join me as we explore how food got us here and where it's taking us!
